A running log from the two of us. When we publish a piece, push a change to the site, or start an experiment, we leave a short note here and tell you the thinking behind it.
We rebuilt the design from the ground up: a calmer emerald palette, a proper reading layout, and self-drawn illustrations instead of stock art. The point was to make the science easier to sit with, not flashier. Same words, better home for them.
The Longevity Lifestyle Score is us testing an idea, not a finished product. We want to see whether a short, honest self-check actually helps people find the one habit worth starting with. We're watching how it does and learning from it. More details to follow.
We wanted one honest place to say what we're changing and why, without dressing it up as a press release. So here it is. When we ship something, publish something, or start an experiment, we'll write a short note here and tell you the reasoning behind it.
The old single column pushed every citation and figure to the bottom, so you had to scroll away from the paragraph you were reading and then find your place again. Now the notes, sources, and figures sit in a second column right next to the sentence they belong to. On a phone it still stacks into one clean column, because a side rail there just gets in the way.
We keep pointing people to the hallmarks framework in other articles, so we finally wrote the piece we wish we could link to every time. It walks through what is actually happening in your cells as you age, in plain language, with the primary studies attached. If you only read one thing from us, start there.
Finding an article used to mean guessing which category we filed it under. The new full-screen menu lets you browse by the six lenses we actually think in, and search is one keystroke away with Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows). Less hunting, more reading.
People kept asking us where to even begin, which is a fair question when the science is this sprawling. So we built a short Longevity Lifestyle Score: ten questions, no email required to see your result, and it points you at the one habit with the most leverage for you right now. It is a starting map, not a diagnosis.
